I’m excited to be one of 72 exhibiting artists, chosen from over 400 other submissions, to take part in the 2017 Foothills Arts Center Member Show in Golden, CO!
My artwork has made it to New Orleans! Of Eden seeks to create space and opportunity for a visual dialogue, tackling one of the most significant aspects of human behavior – conflict and organized aggression, in the context of the “War on Terror.” The very nature of war is traumatic and the premise of the exhibition is that “in war, there are no unwounded soldiers.”
I will be traveling to the east coast this week to represent my work at the LARAC Environmental Portraits Exhibition! I am excited to have the opportunity to display an entire collection of work with this wonderful gallery.
As this exhibit continues to travel through California, it found itself in San Francisco! I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to go and see this show in person, it was insanely powerful!
The first major exhibition to explore the powerful role craft has played as a channel for creativity, rehabilitation and transformation in the lives of veteran artists since World War II. Art and Other Tactics: Contemporary Craft by Artist Veterans will feature contributions of artist veterans and the pathways craft has taken through their visionary work. The exhibition will examine the way military service has impacted the outlook of artists over seven decades and led numerous veterans to pursue creative channels. The exhibition will explore how craft is a constructive antidote to the war experience.
My work, Enigmatic, Equivocal won Best of Show at the Art Depot’s All Colorado Show in Littleton, CO. The show runs from July 29th – Aug 30th, 2015 and the gallery is open Wed – Sun 11am – 4pm. During Western Welcome Week, the Gallery is open every day, Aug 7th to 16th, 2015.

This is the first major exhibition to explore the powerful role craft has played as a channel for creativity, rehabilitation and transformation in the lives of veteran artists since World War II.

My painting Static, Stilted, has been selected as a finalist in the Portraits/Figures category of The Artist’s Magazine 31st Annual Art Competition! Keep an eye out for my name among the lists of finalists published in the December 2014 issue.
I am honored to have been chosen to take part in the 2014 SHOUT! for Women Veterans Art Show on Thursday, June 12, 2014, from 6-9 pm at the Fort Mason Center in San Francisco. This unique show was inspired by the fact that art encourages expression and healing. SHOUT! helps us build a network of women veterans and supporters, and to provide resources for women in need – many who have overcome issues like homelessness and post-traumatic stress. I won’t be able to make the show but encourage anyone in the San Fransisco area to come out and see some amazing artwork by even more amazing veterans!
Tonight is the opening reception and award ceremony for the New Hope Arts League 5th Annual Juried Exhibition.
